"There's a new headline, there's a new sensation," went the lyrics to the early-’80s hip-hop number "(Hey You) The Rock Steady Crew"—and the seminal Crew, among the founders of Bronx-born B-boy culture, is still at it, largely due to the efforts of core member Crazy Legs. The gang celebrates its 33rd anniversary this weekend, with today's B-boy battle selecting a crew and soloist to rep for the U.S. at the Sony Ericsson B-Boy World Championship World Finals in London. The fun continues tomorrow in Newark's Lincoln Park at the free Rock Steady for Life concert, featuring a killer lineup of hip-hop heroes; go to crazylegsworkshop.com for more on that.
