Trumpeter Shane Endsley has made his name working with the relentlessly ambitious future-funk outfit Kneebody, but with his solo project, the Music Band—tonight featuring Uri Caine on piano, Matt Penman on bass and Kneebody's Nate Wood behind the drums—he's dialed down the complexity.
