Shearing Pinx + Nu Sensae + Queening + PC Worship + Needle Gun

The raucous, frayed-at-the-edges sound of Shearing Pinx can recall fellow Canadian noise-rock outfit AIDS Wolf. But the Pinx, hailing from Vancouver, take a more constructive approach to deconstruction and end up with something almost triumphant on recent LP Void White. Tonight the band shares a bill with strong local art-punk duo Queening, a group that combines wiry, post-Shellac riffage with creepy vocal outbursts.
