Slim Twig + U.S. Girls

Toronto pop eccentric Slim Twig combines a deep voice with a retro-styled cabaret-punk aesthetic. As heard on A Hound at the Hem, a 2012 self-release reissued by DFA last year, his work has a certain louche appeal. Sharing the bill is U.S. Girls, the alias of Meghan Remy, a warped lo-fi soul auteur who's also Slim Twig's wife and sometime collaborator.
