SMOD

Malian band SMOD is an acronym of its members' names—Sam, Mouzy, Ousco and Donsky—as well as a cute term of affection in French. Très cool, and cooler still is that Sam's mom and dad are Malian superstars Amadou and Mariam, the group's third album was produced by Manu Chao, and they've toured with the likes of Oumou Sangare and Salif Keita.
