Industrial-metal mainstay and onetime Ozzfest fixture Static-X effectively ceased to exist in 2009, with vocalist Wayne Static focusing on solo work while the rest of the group dispersed. Having dropped Pighammer in 2011, the singer promptly rechristened his solo band Static-X. The eminently respectable alt-metal veterans of Prong—supporting the killer new Carved Into Stone, their first LP since 2007—endure an opening slot.
