Steve Smith and Vital Information

Steve Smith (not to be confused with the TONY Music editor, unless you’re mailing out royalty checks) is the former drummer for arena-rock monolith Journey. He launched his hard-grooving fusion band, Vital Information, while he was still lovin’, touchin’ and squeezin’ international crowds. This weekend at Iridium he’ll be demonstrating his muscular chops in jazz-rock workouts and Buddy Rich–inspired jazz blasts.
