Tectonics Festival New York

The storied Icelandic new-music festival lands in our midst with authority. The opening program, on May 7, includes music by Feldman, Annea Lockwood, and the duo of Nate Young and Mario Diaz de Leon. May 8 brings modern-piano eminence Joseph Kubera's interpretations of pieces by Eastman, among other attractions. The concluding show, on May 9, presents trumpeter-composer Nate Wooley's "Seven Storey Mountain V," in an arrangement for 19 players.
