The Music of Paul Motian + Herb Robertson and Friends

At 10pm, reedist Oscar Noriega and guitarist Brad Shepik—both of whom worked with the late, great Paul Motian—interpret the music of the legendary drumming enigma in the heavy company of reedist Chris Speed, bassist Trevor Dunn and drummer Jim Black. Trumpet wild man Herb Robertson opens the evening at 8pm in a brassy quintet with trombonist Dave Taylor.
