This Is the Rill Speaking + Bermudas

The Chelsea Opera has made a name for itself with impeccable, intimate performances of lesser-known operas. Tonight, it stages Lee Hoiby's monodrama This Is the Rill Speaking based on Lanford Wilson's play that ruminates on everyday life in a typical American town circa 1950. Also on the program is Hoiby's setting of Andrew Marvell's 17th-century adventure poem Bermudas for soprano, mezzo-soprano, string quartet and piano.
