Tift Merritt + Jason Collett

After making a pair of soul-steeped country-rock records with Black Crowes–Tom Petty producer George Drakoulias, on her new See You on the Moon, Tift Merritt teams with Tucker Martine, an indie-scene veteran best known for his work with the Decemberists and Laura Veirs. The result is an artier, more intimate effort that emphasizes the delicate beauty of Merritt’s singing over her love for Lucinda Williams–style grit.
