Venomous Concept

Two members apiece of Brutal Truth (vocalist Kevin Sharp, bassist Danny Lilker) and Napalm Death (guitarist Shane Embury and drummer Danny Herrera)—each an extreme-metal band for whom hardcore is way more than just a vestigial influence—get together for some obnoxious rudimentary-punk fun. Not all of the group's material succeeds, but at its best, the quartet delivers on the hefty promise of its pedigree.
