Pie by the Pound

4 out of 5 stars
(1user review)
The 50-seat Union Square spot—which doubles as a gallery for local artists—peddles thin-crust pizzas with creative toppings, including several vegan options. Staff cuts slices from oblong pies so you can sample as many of the unique combinations as you'd like, including potato and walnut-rosemary or bacon and scallion. Wash it down with gluten-free beers and ciders.

I"m officially obsessed with Pie by the Pound. Never did I think that potato chips, bacon, and ricotta would all go great on a slice of thin crust, but I'm now convinced otherwise.  When you go hear (and you definitely should) listen to the recommendations on what you should order - the slices recommended for me were awesome and I can't wait to go back.  Plus, the combination of classic board games and classic films screening in the corner (the 1932 adaptation of "Madame Bovary") make this spot as great a hangout as it is pizza place.
