Called “manna from heaven” by Eric Asimov in the New York Times, The Tangled Vine Wine Bar and Kitchen brings a oasis in the bustling bar and restaurant scene of Manhattan’s Upper West Side. We’ve integrated a casual, intimate and friendly wine bar experience with a Mediterranean-inspired menu and an extensive Old World wine list focusing on small producers who remain dedicated to their craft. Winner of Wine Spectator's Award For Excellence five years in a row.

The Tangled Vine has a sophisticated and romantic ambiance, but is a great place to drop in for a glass of wine at Happy Hour, enjoy a snack….and as we often see…stay on for a great dinner. Whenever you join us, we promise an experience that’s sure to tickle your senses.

We stumbled in here when we were looking for a place to watch the soccer game, and came in here by default when the bars down the block were packed beyond capacity with others trying to do the same. You might not expect TV's showing sports at a wine bar, but there they were, and we were content to be away from the overpacked actual-sports-bars. And we had great food to top it all off! We didn't know what to expect, but the kitchen turns out some really delicious dishes. Would definitely return, with or without the soccer!
