For as long as there’s been hip-hop, there’s been rivalry between the West and East Coast, but the Rock the Bells festival hits both sides of the States, and has toured the globe. Despite its rep as the the country’s biggest and best hip-hop fest, RTB’s 10th anniversary edition in NYC and Washington DC was cancelled due to poor ticket sales; nonetheless its organizers have assured fans that it will take place in 2014. RTB’s alum include Wu-Tang Clan, Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy, the Roots, Nas, Rakim and a host of up-and-comers.
