When you feel the urge to pamper yourself—without breaking the bank—St. Ives makes nourishing your skin affordable and fun. For more than 30 years, advocates of the beauty brand have scooped up the brand’s soothing and budget-friendly exfoliants (like the ever-popular Apricot scrub) and moisturizers to achieve that coveted celeb-status glow. Open this summer only, the St. Ives Mixing Bar is the go-to spot for New Yorkers looking to get their hands on even more great products from the beloved brand.

That’s right, open until September 30, the St. Ives Mixing Bar is an interactive retail experience that allows customers to create their own bespoke products made with trendy ingredients like volcanic sand, watermelon, kale, ginger and pink lychee. Located in the heart of Soho, the vibrant and colorful shop, invites everyone to “Feel Alive with Nature’s Glow” - a testament to the brand’s use of 100% natural extracts, exfoliants or moisturizers, many of which help boost your skin’s radiance. Below, we tell you everything you need to know in order to get that glow and smell extra heavenly this summer.

Where is the St. Ives Mixing Bar?

The St. Ives pop-up is located in Soho at 577 Broadway (at Prince St.). The shop is open Mon–Sat 11am–9pm, Sun 11am–8pm, through September 30.

How do I create my own products?

The process for mixing your own face scrub or body lotion can easily be achieved in three steps. For face scrubs, simply start by choosing the exfoliation level for your skin’s specific needs (i.e. do you need something more gentle or a scrub that offers a deeper exfoliation?). Afterward, select your favorite exfoliant (pomegranate, volcanic sand, to name a few) and then choose a few other ingredients (avocado, cucumber, ginger) you think your skin will enjoy. The process is pretty much the same for mixing your own body lotion. Start by choosing your desired richness for the product and then choose a few ingredients you think your skin will love such as honey, coconut or papaya. A personalized container is the final touch for your custom face scrub or body lotion for a product that is the perfect fit for your skin.
