Fifth Annual Persian Arts Festival

Act like a sultan at the Fifth Annual Persian Arts Festival. The evening starts with the English-language premiere of Houshang Touzie’s comic play Our Sweet Life by the Pacific Ocean (7pm), starring Iranian actress Shohreh Aghdashloo. Later, catch a screening of Like a Phoenix from the Ashes, a montage of found footage from 1960s and ’70s Iran (9:30pm), followed by Middle Eastern beats courtesy of DJ Payam.
