Dan Furman’s immersive musical, freely adapted from Washington Irving's American Revolution fable "Rip Van Winkle"—in this version, the sleepy title character has PTSD, and his wife helps beat the British back—is performed in unconventional spaces around the city, in the spirit of old-fashioned campfire and barroom storytelling. Cailín Heffernan directs the production for Furman's Brooklyn Tavern Theater; the final two stops of its tour are Park Slope's Old Stone House (October 28 and 29) and SoHo Playhouse's downstairs Huron Club (November 6 and 7).
