Time Out says

Established in 1968 (and at its present location since 1972), Repertorio has been the premier New York producer of Spanish-language work, including translations from English, new work by Hispanic Americans (like Caridad Svich's adaptation of The House of the Spirits) and Spanish classics. The space itself is a lovely, two-level, 140-seat jewel-box theater in Gramercy, and infrared translation devices are available to those who don't comprendo quite as much as they should.

What’s on

Amar Después de la Muerte

Repertorio Español presents a rare revival of a 17th-century verse drama by the great Spanish dramatist Pedro Calderón de la Barca: a tale of love and revenge amid the 1568 rebellion in southern Spain by the Moriscos—descendants of Muslims who had been forcibly converted to Christianity—against the repressive rule of Philip II. Jean Carlo Yunén Aróstegui directs the production, which is performed in the original Spanish (with English subtitles).
