Stolen Chair's Jon Stancato revives two Kiran Rikhye plays. Gender is double- and triple-crossed in the clever and ribald mock-Elizabethan sex farce Stage Kiss, a Ludlamesque romp through ancient Greece; Andy Phelan and Liz Eckert, adept at mixing poise and camp, strike unlikely sparks of romantic truth amid the sparkles of frolicsome artifice. The existentialist-inflected Kinderspeil, by contrast, offers an unsentimental portrait of a Weimar club catering to fetishists who pretend to be children.—Adam Feldman
