The Blue Flower

Fittingly for a piece whose heart belongs to Dada, Jim and Ruth Bauer's musical is an odd agglomeration: a country-western musical about scrapbooking, set in Germany around World War I. No matter how busily director Will Pomerantz keeps his cast moving, this lovely-looking but underdramatized piece stays inert as an exquisite corpse.—Adam Feldman
