The New Group’s musical, adapted from sex columnist Dan Savage’s 1999 book about adopting a baby with his boyfriend, does its best to instill the story with traditional middle-class, middle-American family dynamics. This diverting, lightly touching show receives a boost from a top-of-the-line cast led by Chris Sieber, Lucas Steele and the superbly sympathetic Susan Blackwell.
