92Y Street Y Annual Street Festival

Uptown nonprofit 92Y is giving back to the community with its 92nd Street Y Annual Street Festival. So what’s on the agenda? For starters, the actors of Broadway musicals Pippin and Cinderella will perform highlights from those über-popular stage shows, and there will even be kid-only performances (from Broadway child actors) of Once, Evita,Les Misérables andothers. But it ain’t all show tunes, folks. The 92Y’s School of the Arts will also be on hand to give pottery demonstrations that you can participate in, and the Wandering Que Traveling Texas Kosher BBQ truck will be on site. (You haven’t had great ribs until you’ve tried their incredible kosher variation.)An entire block will be dedicated to education about international cultures, with people 
from 13 different countries available to give you the straight dope. It’s an awesome excuse to 
get out of your regular ’hood and head to the UES for a daylong street festival that’s for 
the whole family.
