"Edith Piaf: Photographs by Hugues Vassal"

NYU's La Maison Française turns its attention to Edith Piaf with an exhibition of photographs taken by her friend Hugues Vassals. Vassals shot intimate portraits of France's first lady of song starting in the 1950s, up to her death in 1963 at the age of 47.
