Escaping the Taliban

Two-time Pulitzer Prize–winning reporter David Rhode was held by the Taliban from November 2008 to June 2009, an experience he recounted in a five-part series for The New York Times this year, and which he will elaborate on in his forthcoming book, A Rope and a Prayer: The Story of a Kidnapping.
