Gay New York and the Arts of the 20th Century

This daylong symposium, organized in conjunction with the museum's "Cecil Beaton: The New York Years" exhibit, explores gay New Yorkers' influence on the city's arts scene from the 1920s through the 1960s. Speakers include the museum's curator of architecture and design, Donald Albrecht; author and Yale professor George Chauncey; and Beaton biographer Hugo Vickers.
