Head underground to Essex Crossing’s Market Line in the Lower East Side for two Halloween-themed events this weekend.
First, there's the Hell-o-ween Costume Contest on Saturday, October 29, with a $1,000 prize for the winner. Hidden judges will select finalists from the crowd. The event includes free Halloween airbrush makeup, adult face painting, themed music and food/drink specials.
Then, there's the Neighborhood Trick or Treating Party Sunday, October 30, where kids can trick or treat from the market's vendors. There's free face painting, glitter airbrush tattoos and family-friendly movies on big screens throughout the venue.
