Meze Making at Pera Mediterranean Brasserie

Time Out Kids has partnered with MasterCard to create a restaurant program for city families.Young foodies age 6 and up will learn the art of making meze—small savory dishes that are a signature of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine—then eat the fruits of their labors. Parents will be treated to the traditional Turkish accompaniment of raki (the drink of their choice), while kids will sample ayran, a refreshing yogurt based beverage, juice or soda. Meze-makers will receive recipes, a gift card entitling them to a free trio of mezes on their next visit and a 20 percent discount at Pera's Turkish Taco Truck, located daily at Tavern on the Green in Central Park.
