It’s not often that you get to design your own gravestone, let alone your own graveyard. But at the Morbid Anatomy Museum’s Afternoon Mourning, you can do just that—inside a terrarium. You’ll get to take your creation home after the event and make it as personal as you want, because customized headstones are a mere $5 extra. Screened during the evening are two short movies by artist Tonya Hurley, who will also provide mourning-themed tea and cakes as snacks halfway through the event. Yes, really. Think delicious gray cupcakes with rain clouds made of icing on them, and you’re halfway there. It’s an entire afternoon of good, clean and totally weird fun for the price of a single dinner for two, so don’t be scared off by the $98 admission fee. Just think about the creepy-cool terrarium-graveyard goody bag and how it’ll last you a lifetime, possibly into the afterlife, if you treat it right.
