“I’m really excited for BAM’s Crossing Brooklyn Ferry festival (crossingbrooklynferry.com; Thu 25–Sat 27; $40–$100) because my favorite band, TV on the Radio, is headlining on Saturday. They’re only playing one other time this summer, so I’m really happy I get to see them.”

“I like to get a steak and a bottle of red wine at St. Anselm (355 Metropolitan Ave between Havemeyer and Roebling Sts, Williamsburg, Brooklyn; 718-384-5054). It has an open kitchen, so you can see all the 50-ounce steaks—it’s like Flintstones-size meat—that you can share with, like, ten people.”

“Saturdays, I work at a boutique salon called The Owl and the Pussycat (154 Vanderbilt Ave between Myrtle and Willoughby Aves, Fort Greene, Brooklyn; 718-522-5697, opcsalon.com). We have everyone from celebrity stylists to children’s specialists; I worked with Emma Roberts for Fashion Week in 2012.”

Kinfolk Studios (90 Wythe Ave between North 10th and 11th Sts, Williamsburg, Brooklyn; 347-799-2946, kinfolkstudios.com) is cool; it’s like a bike shop, office [and] bar that has a DJ on the weekends. They have great beer selections and a great cocktail list. Lately I’ve been getting vodka cocktails—I am ready for summer!”
