“Friday is my lady’s night. I take her out to eat—usually it’s Joe’s Crab Shack (2349 Eighth Ave between 125th and 126th Sts; 212-222-0445, joescrabshack.com) or BBQ—and then we go to a movie. We see action movies, scary movies, love movies—gotta do the lady right, you know how that go.”

“Saturday, I take my stepson to the YMCA (1401 Flatbush Ave between Rogers Ave and E 26th St, Flatbush, Brooklyn; 718-469-8100, ymcanyc.org) to play basketball. He just made the junior-high team. We spend two hours there, plus an hour each day during the week. Gotta get him ready if he’s gonna be Michael Jordan.”

“After the YMCA, I’ll sometimes take [my stepson] to the NBA Store in the city (590 Fifth Ave between 47th and 48th Sts; 212-515-6221, nba.com/nycstore). I’ll reward him with basketball equipment—right now he wants a shooter sleeve, just for show. But this way, he’ll know that he’s getting something back. It’s a give-and-take.”

  5. “I’m a Jets fan, loyal, and I’m a Knicks fan, loyal. Saturday, I gotta find time to watch my Knicks. My company gets tickets, so every now and then I’ll go to the game at Madison Square Garden (4 Pennsylvania Plaza [Seventh Ave] between 31st and 33rd Sts; 212-465-6741, thegarden.com) with my boss.”
