Manhattan Municipal Building, 1 Centre St at Chambers St. Subway: N, R to City Hall; 4, 5, 6 to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall; J, Z to Chambers St.Check out this free exhibit of more than 100 artworks, created by veterans from all branches of the military. The collection includes drawings by World War II vets Mort Walker (who created the Beetle Bailey comic strip) and the late Bill Gallo (a cartoonist at the Daily News), plus selections from the art-therapy program at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Visitors can also record video messages for troops currently serving abroad. The festival is part of Veterans Week 2012, a series of events taking place Nov 7–14.
