Time Out says

The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture is back with its annual Literary Festival on June 18 with a day-long event that includes readings, author talks, and workshops that range from prose to poetry, comic books to young adult novels, fiction and nonfiction.

This year's participating authors include Jason Reynolds (Stunt Boy, Miles Morales: Spider-Man, Patina, Ghost), Roxane Gay (Hunger, Bad Feminist, Difficult Women), Linda Villarosa (Under the Skin: Racism, Inequality and the Health of a Nation), Mateo Askaripour (Black Buck) and others. Poet Mahogany L. Browne (Chlorine Sky, Woke: A Young Poets Call to Justice, Woke Baby, and Black Girl Magic) has curated a children's program on the 135th Street stages with the “Woke Baby Children’s Festival” featuring readings, music, movement, and craft-making.
