Time Out says

There's now an unusual sight outside The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Three containers labelled 'Art Encounters', alongside mammoth kinetic outdoor sculptures have seemingly popped up overnight.

But don't worry, this isn't the start of some epic apocalypse. The repurposed containers are part a travelling exhibition by non-profit organisation Art Outreach, which is now on its seventh iteration. This edition is called Perpetual Motion, and features a series of kinetic outdoor sculptures that is the brainchild of local artist Gerald Leow. As hinted by the exhibition's name, these sculptures are designed to be turned by hand or by the wind, with the circular motion of activating these sculptures speaks to the way we continually give new meaning to the things we interact with.

Gerald is also exhibiting a showcase of maquettes, drawings and photographs that delve into his creative process in tandem. So go ahead, step into the containers and experience the genius of the artist yourself – or meet him on opening weekend from 11am to 1pm and 4pm to 6pm.

You don't have to rush down to check it out, either. The exhibition is running from January 8 to February 6 at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza – so you've got a month to check it out if you happen to be in the area.
