We often associate exhibitions with visual experiences. But fragrance and art can be intertwined too – and Ao Singapore will prove just that. The new artisanal fragrance brand will be showcasing Blue - A Scented Journey Through Memories in its pilot event of the year at Sainouspace from May 12 to May 30.
The showcase will feature six handcrafted candles curated by Raf, a scent artist and creative behind Ao Singapore, inspired by personal stories of the past. Call it an Olfactory art exhibition, if you may.
The collection of keepsake-worthy candles are carefully hand-poured into signature blue and white ceramic vessels, each featuring notes that aims to encapsulate cherished life moments in an in-house blend of coconut wax and the soothing crackling sound of sustainably sourced wooden wicks.
“Blue aims to bring people on an experiential journey through familiar scents that nudge them to reconnect and relive happy memories from the past," says Raf. "It’s also a reminder to always take a moment in our constantly moving life, to recalibrate, rejuvenate and reconnect with ourselves."
Admission to the showcase is free. However, due to Covid-19 regulations, interested visitors are required to book a slot. Each slot runs for 45 minutes.
