Conversation: Ben Loong X Zulkifli Lee with Josef Ng

For Singapore Art Week 2019, Pearl Lam Galleries showcases Conversation: Ben Loong X Zulkifli Lee moderated by Josef Ng, offering an insight into the artists’ personal histories and cultural influences. Lee is an expert handler of natural mediums in which he uses to produce abstract geometric patterns. Through this, he forms a bridge across traditional Islamic aesthetic principles and contemporary art theory. Singaporean artist Ben Loong takes on a more diaristic approach by recontextualizing industrial objects in-question of material culture and value systems.
