Immortality Project I

Her hair is but a tangle of snakes; her face an inimitable copy of sculptor Sam Jinks’ wife, Emma. In Immortality Project I, Jinks fuses Medusa with the historical trajectory of human experiences to examine duality through Ernest Becker's seminal text, ‘The Denial of Death’. In doing so, he invites the viewer to ponder the symbolic world that exists between the physical body and mind.
