Reverse Exotic

Turkish artist Lale Tara's first exhibition in Asia features photographs of her posing a life-size doll as her doppelganger. In this collection, she challenges and reinterprets the images of famous literary characters such as Lolita and Lady Macbeth. Reverse Exotic trains the Western gaze back onto their own characters, portraying the West as the 'exotic other' for once.
