Bucking Club Street’s reputation for pricey drinks, this 30-seat bottle shop offers a range of over 450 labels of whiskies, spirits, New Zealand craft beer and wines by New World labels like Cannonball and Astrolabe, in partnership with local drinks distributor Brand Connect.
Retail prices here are some of the cheapest in town, with usual bottled suspects like Absolut Vodka ($48), Bacardi Superior ($45) and Johnnie Walker Black Label ($60), plus premium labels like Grey Goose ($90), the Glenfiddich range ($105-$145) and Fever Tree mixers ($3). You’re welcome to take a seat and enjoy a few drinks in house – wines priced $35 and up and spirits from $60, require no additional corkage charges. For food, they’ve worked out an arrangement with the nearby Spizza for in-house pizza delivery; otherwise, there are platters of cold cuts or cheese ($20).
