As the latest collaboration between Lifebrandz and Massive Collective – the people behind Mink and the now-defunct members-only club Filter – the Fenix Room follows a similar ‘ultra lounge’ concept, with VIP service for those who shell out for the champagne.
Nestled on the second storey above Dream (its entrance is the former Zirca’s doorway), the 300-pax venue boasts a subtle elegance, with minimal décor and tables sprinkled across the room. There’s a touch of Art Deco-inspired design in the centrepiece island bar (with customised brass accents), plus dim lighting all around and plush sofas lining the side of the room – to further the aura of golden era elegance, the club’s seven signature champagne cocktails (price TBC) have been named after iconic female actresses like Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe.
With two rows of tables filling up the space in front of the DJ console, there’s not much room to dance, but the action here focuses more on popping bottles and clinking glasses with friends.
Music is provided by resident DJs Mathias, Sabrina, Stas, FM, Atran or Sungus on regular parties like their Wednesday ladies night illuminaughty, Fab Fridays and Swank Saturdays, spinning hip hop, indie, nu disco and dubstep.
