Asian Festivals Exchange (M1 Contact Contemporary Dance Festival 2018)

This sensorial spectacle presents the award-winning First Abundance Society by Kim Ho-yeon and Lim Jung-ha. Working with collaborator Hwa Wei-An, the visual treat is based on the reimagination of paradise à la Marshall Sahlin’s “original affluent society” theory. Chosen from the Yokohama Dance Collection, Kenji Shinohe’s K(-A-)O showcases the emoticon phenomenon. The night then wraps up with a twin bill by T.H.E. Second Company.
