One Cut of the Dead

The annual Japanese Film Festival is returning to screen 17 of the best made-in-Japan flicks that cover a range of genres including romance, comedy and action-adventures. Opening the film fest is comedy-horror zombie movie One Cut of the Dead by director Shinichirou Ueda and is followed by a lineup of titles including Yakiniku Dragon, Before We Vanish and Colour Me True, among others. Film buffs can also check out four other free programmes at *Scape Gallery including a masterclass with Hideho Urata, a Senior Cinematography Lecturer at LASALLE College of the Arts. Festival guests include directors Shinichirou Ueda of One Cut of the Dead fame and Wishing Chong, an award-winning playwright and screenwriter.
