Connect with fellow movie enthusiasts around the city through Singapore Film Society's (SFS) Netflix parties. This week, SFS is hosting an online get-together, featuring American Sniper (May 21 at 8pm) and 37 Seconds (May 22 at 8pm), with a post-screening chat discussing the American propaganda, misinformation, and biasness in American Sniper with the creator of Film Journals, Jian Wei.

Directed by Clint Eastwood, American Sniper follows a US Navy Seal marksman whose home life begins to slip away due to his killings in Iraq. A collaboration with Japanese Creative Centre and Japanese Film Festival Singapore, 37 Seconds is about a young manga artist with cerebral palsy who goes on an unconventional journey for sexual freedom and personal liberation.

To partake in SFS's Netflix party, simply join its Telegram Channel where it'll post the link to the watch party right before the screening. However, be sure to install the Netflix Party Chrome plugin and log into Netflix (make use of that free trial if you're not subscribed) beforehand too.
