The Velveteen Rabbit

To celebrate 101 years of Margery Williams' beloved classic The Velveteen Rabbit, Wild Rice is putting together a staged adaptation as part of its first A Little Wild show. It tells the story of a stuffed rabbit who feels overshadowed by her kid owner’s flashy mechanical toys. Feeling down in the fluff, she seeks wisdom from the wise old Skin Horse who reveals that for a toy to become real, it has to truly be loved by a child. Eventually, the boy notices her and they become inseperale pals. But wait, the plot thickens. The boy falls ill and the rabbit is forcibly pulled away from his side.
