Missed out on Darker Than Wax's (DTW) innovative Brew Livestream Party – which featured a virtual version of Chye Seng Huat Hardware – last May 30? Here's your chance to relive the magic as the homegrown record label and DJ crew teams up with party collective Ice Cream Sundays (ICS) to take their Open Door collaborative event series online on June 28.
This time, the DTW crew has created a fully interactive replica of the Golden Mile Tower carpark via the online platform Habbo. The carpark has served as the epicentre for Darker Than Wax and Ice Cream Sundays’ National Day collaboration in 2019, and was a favourite party spot before the circuit breaker restrictions. Like any other Open Door shindig, expect plenty of DJ sets by DTW and ICS selectors – all streamed live and loud. With an eclectic soundtrack traversing the spectrum from funk, soul, jazz, house, to world music and beyond, you'll find it hard to resist busting a move with your crew (no more than five) or dancing like no one's watching on your bedroom dancefloor.
And what's a party without some chilled drinks? The organisers have further teamed up with beverage partners Lion Brewery Co and No Sleep Club to provide home-delivery drink packages, complete with refreshing craft beers and exclusive cocktail sets featuring Belvedere Lake Bartezec vodka, for friends to share during the event.
