This month, jazz takes the limelight at Esplanade with Jazz in July, the theatre’s longest annual jazz event. Spanning the entire month, it offers diverse programmes for everyone to indulge in one of the sexiest genres there is out there.
Immerse yourself in the world of jazz by exploring local musicians, as well as unique styles of jazz players from beyond our borders, hailing all the way from Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, United Kingdom, United States, and more. This event goes beyond a mere audience experience, as visitors have the opportunity to participate in workshops as well. Learn to dance to jazz rhythms, or sit back, relax and witness jazz pianists learn from esteemed jazz expert Fred Hersch.
As the month comes to a close, prepare to be moved by Goodnight Heartache, a jazz ballad by performers Mario Serio and Anson Fung, serving as the perfect finale that encapsulates the essence of the entire event.
