The internet-breaking Swatch collaborations are back following a viral launch of the Omega MoonSwatch back in March 2022. Now, it is back with yet another smashing sequel with Swiss luxury watch maker Blancpain, unveiling a Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms in five models. The collaboration is set to honour the Blancpain icon of the legendary Fifty Fathoms, a true diving watch that was born 70 years ago for French combat divers who required reliable watches that function underwater.

The Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms drops worldwide on September 9, according to Swatch's Instagram on September 7. The account first teased the collaboration on September 4 with a poster featuring the world map and the relevant hashtags.

What will the Blancpain x Swatch collection look like?
Watch enthusiasts can expect five new models that resemble the iconic design of the revolutionary watch but not without a bit of playfulness from Swatch's DNA. Each model will be named after the world’s five oceans while featuring different bright colourways – the Atlantic Ocean in blue, the Arctic Ocean in red, the Pacific Ocean in yellow, the Indian Ocean in green, and the Antarctic Ocean in white.
What are the specs of the Blancpain x Swatch collection?
Watch fans should be excited as the watches faithfully reproduce the Fifty Fathoms hallmarks that are made for deep-sea exploration. Expect superior water resistance down to 91 meters, exceptional legibility, secured rotating bezels and anti-magnetic protection. The watches are powered by the Sistem51 self-winding automatic movement that boasts a 90-hour power reserve while vibrant Nato straps are set to adorn the wrist. The case itself is made with bioceramic which is a Swatch patent for an eco-plastic alternative that boasts scratch-proof qualities.

The price is currently listed at USD 400 which roughly converts to about 565 SGD. Definitely a small fraction of the original Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, which average above USD 20,000.
Where can I buy the Blancpain x Swatch collection in Singapore?
The worldwide drop is set to launch at selected Swatch stores on September 9. However, it should be noted that the collection is non-limited and is set for continuous rollouts. This means you won't have to rush to the stores on the first day, contrary to last year's MoonSwatch drop that triggered a buyer's frenzy in town. However, unlike in the US, exact store locations have not been revealed for the Singapore market – we reckon your best bets will be hitting up the major outlets such as Ion Orchard and the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
