Organised by Singapore Drama Educators Association, this eighth edition of Celebrate Drama! is geared specifically towards youth 15 years old and above with the theme 'YOUth Take On Local Literature'. Focusing on lesser-known pieces as stimulus for discussion and performance, this two-day festival will feature performances by schools based on local poems and plays, three-hour workshops with facilitators like local playwright Haresh Sharma and director Sean Tobin, and a youth forum on the challenges of breaking into the Singapore theatre scene.
Fees for three-hour workshops are $80 for members of the public and $60 for SDEA members and students. Fees for performances and forums are $25 for members of the public and students and $20 for SDEA members and students in groups of five.
