In a rare showcase of the traditional Japanese theatrical form of Kabuki – a highly stylised dance drama whose plots are often centred on historical events or lost love – this performance is headlined by Ebizo Ichikawa XI, one of the most well-known names in the genre today. The show marks his international debut and he will be joined by 50 other troupe members as they perform two well known acts, Noh Shakkyo (Stone Bridge) and Renjishi (Lion Dance).
