Shakespeare in the Park: The Merchant of Venice

Staged annually by the Singapore Repertory Theatre, Shakespeare in the Park returns with another classic. While The Merchant of Venice is classified as a comedy, the Bard does make us think long and hard about our values before we condemn one of his most complex and unfortunate villains, Shylock, as he demands his famous ‘pound of flesh’. Get a blanket, a picnic basket (and plenty of mosquito repellent), and enjoy some fantastic literature staged by a seasoned cast.
